When summer has deserted us and the mornings are chilly, add some sunshine to your home with these bright travel posters.
Copenhagen
Just look at those ducks! Are they not completely adorable? I think this poster would make me smile every time I looked at it – Copenhagen
Paris
This one has me picturing myself in some cosy dimly lit Parisian bistro. In my daydream I can speak perfect French and I have an entertaining little discussion with the charming waiter about which obscure gem I will sample from their wine cellar – Paris
The Hogwarts Express
Surely it’s not essential for the subject of your travel poster to be real? This poster is so beautifully designed that it could very well be advertising the English countryside instead of being a unique reminder of a magical book – The Hogwarts Express
Melbourne
I found these at the Manly Markets and fell in love. You can get them about any number of different cities, but this Melbourne one is my favourite. So many cool places listed here, including Prahran where I had my bachelorette pad long long ago – Melbourne
Jamaica
This vivid poster would add such a happy splash of colour to the wall don’t you think? Sun, sea, sand and palm trees. This would really lift the mood on a dreary winter’s day – Jamaica
London
The London Tube map. I need one on my wall. How can a public transport system be so iconic and look so attractive? Very clever. And I particularly love the painterly vibe of this Tate Gallery version – London
Australia
Isn’t this Australia one just glorious? I adore the old-fashioned swimwear on the guy, as the elegant ladies gaze over Bondi Beach. I could definitely imagine that on my wall – Australia
London
I haven’t seen this London one before, but it really caught my eye with the gorgeous mosaic effect. Is the castle the Tower of London? I love it there. The Tudor series of Philippa Gregory’s books really brought the place to life for me. It felt like there were ghosts and memories around every corner. And isn’t the soldier’s face adorable? I love his serious little mouth – London
Paris
I know this doesn’t really go with the sunny theme of all the others, but I was at Ikea on the weekend and this poster has stuck in my mind. So simple and plain, but don’t those station names evoke beautiful images in your mind. Put on your best French accent and let them roll off your tongue! – Paris
