When on holidays, you’re often out and about exploring from early til late, so you need to be ready for whatever the weather gods throw at you.
A scarf or snood adds some much needed warmth when the weather is chilly, while simultaneously adding personality to the practical yet boring neutral outfits that are essential when packing light.
Plus they’re pretty.
Tassel & Pom Pom Scarves
If it’s more colour and style that you need, rather than warmth, tassels are the answer, from this stunning Mimco number at $80 (2) to the $25 Katies bargain (4).
But it doesn’t get much cuter than a pom pom. And combining them with cable knit makes the Witchery one (6) my ultimate winter scarf!
I’ve styled up some outfits with a scarf here.
1 French Connection Chunky Tassel scarf
2 Mimco Wallflower scarf
3 Tiger Tree Kabul scarf
4 Katies Mono pop border scarf
5 Sportscraft Harriet scarf
6 Witchery Cable pom pom scarf
Checked Scarves
Checks are classic, but particularly fashionable this winter. These are ideal for adding warmth when you’re wearing a leather jacket, trench or cardigan. They’re warm, but you won’t swelter.
1 Katies Colour block scarf
2 Katies Pop border scarf
3 Sportscraft Simone scarf
4 Country Road Two tone fringed scarf
5 Forever New Daria check blanket scarf
6 Seed Reverse check scarf
Snuggly snoods
When you’re fully rugged up against icy temperatures, then snuggle into a snood. These cosy infinity scarves loop around your neck once or twice and are a statement in themselves.
I’ve got my eye on the French Connection one (3), but that’s only because I already have the Seed one (6) and, as much as I’m drawn to the Forever New snood (4), I have to keep reminding myself that I already have a scarf in those colours. It is gorgeous though!
The Forever New snood also comes in a grey and tan colour combination, which I have included in a cosy winter outfit here.
1 Witchery Flecked snood
2 Country Road Endless knit scarf
3 French Connection Chunky rib snood
4 Forever New Bonnie check snood
5 Sussan Navy mini geo loop scarf
6 Seed Cable fringe snood
