Family-friendly facilities in Fiji are universally pretty great. It is no wonder that many young families love to holiday here. We were very happy with the Kids Club and Mei Mei service at Outrigger on the Lagoon and, although it was a slightly different set-up at the Radisson Blu Fiji Kids Club, it was similarly fantastic.
Alannah (6) loved it immediately, even though she’s on the shy side. She thought there was nothing better than hanging out with the other girls there. Hamish (4) would really have preferred to stay with Mum and Dad the whole time, however, after a couple of sessions they found themselves some buddies.
Izzie and Will were sister and brother, also from Sydney and about the same ages as Alannah and Hamish. Score!! They were immediate best friends and if Izzie and Will were in the Radisson Blu Kids Club, then my two begged to be as well.

Radisson Blu Fiji Kids Club
For what ages is it suitable?
Kids Koro (Koro = Club in Fijian) is for 4-12 yr olds.
There is an affordable Radisson Blu Fiji nanny service for younger children to give them the one-on-one care that they need, but the group activities are designed for the 4-12 year age bracket. That group is then broken down into smaller groups to do age-appropriate activities.
What hours is it open?
Radisson Blu Denarau’s Kids Koro activities are planned for 3 sessions a day –
- 9am – 12 noon
- 2pm – 5pm
- 5.30pm – 9pm
You can leave the kids in there all day and staff will organise lunch or dinner for them as required, but most kids come along for these session times.

Alannah was very proud of the shell necklace that she made. And Hamish could draw all day!
How much does it cost?
For much of the year Radisson Fiji offers a Kids Stay and Eat Free Fiji offer. Often they eat free too. But check with your travel agent whether this is happening when you are there. It is FJ$10 (about A$7) per session if you need to pay, but completely free if the offer is on. Such a bargain!
The babysitting/nanny service costs FJ$30 total (about A$20) for 3 hours of care for up to 2 children. So even if your kids are not old enough to go to Kids Club on their own, it is very affordable to have one of their lovely nannies looking after them.
Is it fun?
Each of the Fiji resorts with kids club is a little different, but the thing they all have in common are the wonderful Fijian people. These are family-focussed people, who have typically grown up in large extended families and have shared in the care of younger siblings and cousins. Playing with children is something they genuinely love and for which they have endless enthusiasm.
The biggest difference between the Kids Clubs at Radisson Blu Resort Fiji vs Outrigger on the Lagoon is that at Radisson they mainly use the Kids Club area as a meeting point. Once everybody is dropped off and signed in, they are out of there! They make fantastic use of the resort facilities and will march around the resort chanting, following a staff member to a new location for more fun Fiji activities for kids.

Playing Crocodile, Crocodile in the “secret garden”. Conveniently located for spying on the kids directly below our room.

The games room had free movies, table tennis and foosball for wet days.

The daily torch lighting ceremony was a highlight with the kids dressing up and helping.
The wonderful, unexpected advantage in using the Radisson Fiji resorts’ Kids Club is the friendships the kids will make. Alannah, Hamish, Izzie and Will formed a gorgeous gang of 4 whenever they ran into each other around the resort. They all loved having kids their own age to play with. Much more fun than Mum and Dad!
The beauty and simplicity of childhood friendships is such a joy to behold.
